2026-03-28: Project Kickoff

What Happened​

  • Built the initial Conduit project
  • Scaffolded .orchestra/ agent knowledge base
  • Defined project vision: production-ready .NET data pipeline for multi-source content aggregation
  • Established 4 milestones: Foundation (done), Multi-Source Ingestion, Data Transformation, Production Hardening

Deliverables Completed (Milestone 1: Foundation)​

  • 6-project solution: Core, Console, Worker, Api, Cli, Tests
  • DI container, Serilog logging, typed config (appsettings.json)
  • 10 xUnit tests with mocked HTTP
  • XML documentation on all public APIs
  • GitHub Actions CI + DocFX docs site on GitHub Pages
  • Code analysis, .editorconfig, Directory.Build.props

Decisions​

  • Using the orchestra methodology (PRDs all the way down) -- see ADR-000
  • Chose Conduit as the project name (pipeline metaphor, domain-agnostic)
  • 4-milestone roadmap reflecting progression from foundation to production-grade
  • Serilog over built-in logging for file sink + structured output
  • System.CommandLine for CLI (Microsoft's official library)

Next Steps​

  • Flesh out Multi-Source Ingestion milestone PRD with /orchestra:prd
  • Begin work with /orchestra:milestone to review gaps
  • The loop: /orchestra:milestone -> /orchestra:prd -> /orchestra:spec -> implement -> done
